卡朋特乐队，可以说是美国的国民乐队。在中国，不知道卡朋特，至少也知道《yesterday once more》，初中英语老师教我们的这首歌。卡朋特兄妹的风格，基本就如《昨日重现》的风格，静谧，甜美。犹如檀香，轻柔得浸入心脾。
遗憾的是妹妹卡伦·卡朋特在32岁就死于神经性厌食症，也就是为了减肥，强行把吃过的食物催吐而导致的疾病。有人说她不是怕胖，而是害怕衰老。而因为她的早逝，在人们心里她永远是那个天真无邪的少女。她的墓志铭是a star on earth，a star in heaven.（地上的明星，天堂的星星）
